About
Michelle Ray (born Michelle Raitzin) is a singer-songwriter and topline vocalist whose lower register has become her signature. A former contestant on NBC's The Voice (Team Blake), she is the voice behind the viral "what if it were lower?" series — beloved songs reimagined for her alto/mezzo range.
She writes and sings for the dance floor. Her credits include the official 2025 Pokémon Worlds soundtrack, a topline cut championed by UTA-signed DJ Tomas Grey — played at Tomorrowland — and over 25 million streams, with 2.6 million programmed Spotify listeners in the last month alone. In 2026 she took the New York live stage as a selected performer at Taco Tuesday Live, curated by Stevie Mackey.
As a voiceover artist, Michelle's voice has fronted national campaigns for PetSmart, DKNY, Maybelline, Bloomingdale's, Mastercard, JCPenney, Kimpton Hotels, and International Delight. She is the voice of the LOL Surprise Remix doll Lonestar, sold in stores worldwide, and her vocals appear across film and television — including Garry Marshall's "Mother's Day," Hulu's "The Kardashians," Amazon's "The Expanse," Bravo's "Vanderpump Rules," Netflix's "Selling Sunset," and Lifetime's "Married at First Sight."
Rooted in musical theater and raising two little ones after a cross-country move to New York, Michelle also leads "Nobody Puts Mama in a Corner," her call to action for mothers in the music industry. Her destination is the big orchestral, cinematic stage — and she's building toward it one lower key at a time.
